As we prepare for that delightful September 17th, don’t leave yourself ripe for disappointment. I bet a LOT of you don’t have a free 8GB on your Xbox 360 or PS3. I’m one of those people and right now, I’m looking for solutions. I’m not deleting a bunch of stuff off the hard drive so I’m doing the external storage method. That said, there are a few things you need to look at before buying a USB thumb flash drive. Here’s a quick guide.
Xbox 360 Guide
- your external USB flash drive must be 16GB with at least 8GB free space
- the USB flash drive must be USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed
- it must be formatted for Xbox 360 use
- Rockstar recommends you buy a brand new usb flash drive for optimal performance (I agree)
PS3 Guide
- For PS3, clear up 8GB of space on your hard drive
