Brady’s global strategy guide publisher Mike Degler has announced that they have secured the rights to the GTA 5 cheat strategy guide book. Brady has become a staple for video game guides and with GTA 5 secured, they are expecting to be the #1 publisher on the planet. High hopes for this GTA V strategy guide for sure. There is always plenty of tricks, cheats, glitches and gameplay elements to write about. It’s going to be a thick guide book for sure! The article mentions that a popular strategy guide can sell up to 300,000 copies. Expect the Brady Games GTA 5 guide to shatter the records. You might be aware Prima Game Guides is the biggest competitor to Brady Games. This deal pretty much puts Brady Games in a good position coming into late 2012 and 2013 depending on when GTA 5 is released.

There is some pretty overwhelming evidence about this person feature in the GTA V screenshot and the man on the left side. Is this the same person? Is this the main character? All evidence says yes! Of course aside from the release date, most GTA fans want to know the protag aka protagonist. This fellow is apparently the man behind the voice in the game. However, here is the big question, how many protagonists are there going to be? I’m putting my money on being able to control 2 or 3 different protagonists. Therefore, the man here and in the trailer may simply be one of the protagonists. If Rockstar is indeed pushing the GTA series to new limits then having just one protagonist makes no sense. In the official GTA V trailer I can see 3 characters who make multiple appearances. In that sense, Rockstar may have given us a look at who we will be controlling in the game.

I recommend you read the story at the official Playstation magazing website. They have tweets from people that pretty much confirm that man in the trailer. It still doesn’t reveal what role this character has in the game, other than it’s his voice.

In the only glimpse so far into the world of GTA V, there is one scene that shows the GTA 5 weapons. We’ve got a screenshot for you to look at. It’s important when you consider what the rumors are about the weapons in Grand Theft Auto 5.

Regarding the scene in the image, I found it interesting that someone commented how silly it was that silencers are on an AK-47 rifle. Then the realization happened that hey, perhaps weapons will be customizable in GTA V. Well if you believe some of the leaked information, then indeed it appears that some weapons will enjoy customization. According to the same leak there will even be some home-made weapons in GTA 5.  Yes it’s rumor at this point but based on the trailer and the rumor together, I think the evidence is over whelming.

According to the most recent leak, here is a list of GTA 5 weapons:

• remote mines
• claymores
• flame throwers
• lazer trip mines
• objects from the street and buildings
• medieval weapons such as swords, axes, etc.

Aside from the weapons themselves, according to rumors there is some real improvements to the weapons gameplay mechanics. In particular we’ve heard in two different leaks that the cover mechanics are vastly improved. Animations for climbing, rolling, diving, and crawling are more realistic. In addition there are apparently improved reload animations.

Real or fake GTA 5 map? We think real.

The leaks keep on coming and we love it. This time an apparent GTA 5 map picture has been leaked via Twitter. Legit? I mean who would bother creating a fake such as this? If we were guessing, we think this is a real screenshot from the game. It shows the Los Santos area, which does look like the real Los Angeles map area. You can see some of the names used for various locations around Los Santos and those can be verified from the official game trailer. What do you think? Is this a massive map for serious GTA 5 fun?

We didn’t launch GrandTheftAutoForever.com for nothing. Few video games deserve to be mentioned with “forever”. Grand Theft Auto is one of the most played, most enjoyed and most ground breaking video game series in the history of gaming. Now that we are looking at GTA 5, it’s interesting to think about how many millions of copies might be sold.

We can honestly say right off the bat, that the next best selling video game franchise is Call of Duty. We think GTA is right beside Call of Duty and that GTA V will simply smash whatever records that COD once enjoyed. Face it. The demand for the new GTA game will reach a fever pitch. The big difference is that Grand Theft Auto doesn’t come out yearly like Call of Duty. The less of something, the more you want it. Video games are no exception.

There was a fantastic article recently on CNBC that broke down the GTA sales numbers. Let’s take a closer look at how many copies of GTA 5 that might be sold.

Experts feel that GTA 5 could sell up to 25 million copies in the first year. A bit interesting in the fact that it may be released in the fall 2012. Will it make 25 million in just 3 months? No, not in a calender year. The 25 million refers to a year of sales and not calender year.

As a comparison, GTA 4 sold 17 million copies in its first year. When you consider that fact along with the fact that there are many more systems in homes now, the number for a GTA 5 could be considerably higher. It’s certainly realistic to think the number will go much higher and certainly not lower.

In the CNBC article, they mention the fact that back in 2008, the first week of the GTA 4 release, the game made $500 million which was a record for video games. Since then, Call of Duty has set the bar with new record sales.  The fact is, 25 million copies of GTA 5 being sold in the first year would bring in about $1.5 billion dollars. That massive. That’s big business. That would be one heck of a game.

We have been reading a lot of comments about the GTA 5 trailer and rumors. It would seem there is still some debate out there regarding where GTA V will be based. Perhaps this will help clarify the Grand Theft Auto 5 city.

See the screenshot? That is a photo from the official GTA 5 trailer and is a license plate from a police car. Now look closely. Sure it’s fuzzy. Sure it’s not an HD screenshot. With that said, it somewhat clearly shows “SAN ANDREAS” above the license plate numbers.

We realize this isn’t a ground breaking story at this point, but every added detail helps. The trailer is either trying to fool all of us or it’s based in the city of San Andreas. As mentioned before, the city will be expanded and will include much better detail. Makes sense. We hope that GTA 5 will blow the doors off of GTA 4. We are darn sure it will!

You will see various clips in the GTA trailer of a man in a red sports car. In fact this character, as shown in the screenshot above, is shown throughout the trailer. This leads us to one conclusion. That man is the main character of the next Grand Theft Auto game. There has been a leaked document which seems to hint at this man being named Adrian. He is apparently Hispanic.

We are currently digging through the trailer to see if there are any other clues. The fact is that Adrian (let’s assume for now it’s his name) is most likely the GTA V protagonist. This is speculation for now. Again, we are going to dig through the trailer because certainly there must be some clues in there about the main character.
