GTA 5 Release Date – We Think We Have It

The quest for the GTA 5 release date has been the quest of many. Rockstar has been extremely secretive about this. We’ve heard various rumors and various tweets that indicate certainly that the game is “in the works”. It has to be right? It’s one of the most anticipated video game releases on the planet.

With all this said, we believe we have the GTA 5 release date. It’s not been said officially, but in a way it has. If you didn’t know, Rockstar Games has officially announced that May Payne 3 is going to come out March 2012. So think about that. It would open the window for a Fall 2012 GTA 5 release date wouldn’t it? Yes, in fact it would. It makes sense. Two big releases need to be spread out. The holiday season, as in the fall, is a great time to release the big name video games. It’s happened often if you check big video game release dates.

So if GTA 5 is released in Fall 2012, we should start hearing more near the end of this year. It would allow Rockstar to showcase GTA 5 at the 2012 E3. If the next generation consoles are slated for a 2014 release, then GTA 5 still has enough legs to sell well. It’s still not known the release date of the next generation consoles but it’s widely speculated that Sony and Microsoft are in no hurry to update their systems yet. Heck it could even be 2015 before the next generation consoles are released.

Check the official Max Payne 3 website. Just think, this announcement really solidifies a GTA 5 release date in Fall 2012. Agree or not?

More GTA 5 Rumors

What we have this week is a website that is associated with Take-Two and the website CitizenSkywatch.com is on the same server as other Rockstar game websites. Sure it’s evidence of something, but there is absolutely no mention of GTA in any part of the Citizen Skywatch content online so far. There is a twitter feed for CitizenSkywatch here. It’s all speculation and according to IGN it looks more like this is associated with another upcoming video game release.

Here is the video from which you will not be able to draw any conclusions:
